Introduction

We would like to welcome you all to our third online intercultural writing project between the students at Talpiot Teachers College in Tel Aviv and the students at Gallaudet University, the only liberal arts university for deaf and hard of hearing students in the world, located in Washington, DC. In this project the students work in pairs and in groups to carry out joint intercultural writing assignments.

In the 2002 project, from February through May, there will be 2 groups.
Group 1 will be first year students from Tel Aviv who will be working   with  course English  103 in Washington.
Group 2 will be in-service teachers in Talpiot with class English 203 from Washington.

The schedule is very tight as we are limited to the number of weeks when both the Washington and Tel Aviv students’ timetables overlap.  Please check the deadlines for your class.

We have opened an online chat for you to meet your partners as well as  participants in the course in real time. However, remember there is a 7 hour time difference between Tel Aviv and Washington D.C.! For example, at 10 a.m. in Washington, it is 5p.m. in Tel Aviv. (chat instructions)

Each student will get a user name and password to carry out the assignments on the Gallaudet web site. Please go to http://my.gallaudet.edu/  and login.

We wish you all a great online learning experience and as you all know the more you put into this course the more you’ll get out of it.
