For me to look outJames Leigh Dear Maria!
You and I both are interested in amazingly the same things, which are fine art, literature and theatre. So, I call you my soulmate. For our cultural project I have chosen “American theatre”. This is a pretty vast theme and it isn’t possible to cover it in a small webtour, therefore, I would like to invite you to an enjoyable theatrical journey, which I hope will attract your attention as an actress and a theatre person. The first stations of our tour, which we visit for getting general background and cultural awareness, will be the following sites:
www.georgetown.edu/murphy/netsearch/
www.americantheaterweb.com
This site can be interesting for its daily updated theatre news, rich information
about theatres and shows by US region.

| The
Real Thing may be the most frequently revived Tom
Stoppard play in American theatres. The current Broadway revival of The
Real Thing is a London import. David Leaveaux's new version of Stoppard's
1982 play began at the Donmar Warehouse and is led by Stephen
Dillane, Jennifer
Ehle, Nigel Lindsay, and Sarah
Woodward. It is the first Broadway production of this Stoppard
staple with an all-British cast.
A play about love, commitment and adultery, The Real Thing is Stoppard's most accessible and emotionally engaging drama. It explodes much of the received wisdom about Stoppard, who is often described as coldly intellectual. It is also Stoppard's most autobiographical work. |

Unfortunately, our webtour
is finishing. I hope, Maria, you have enjoyed it. But theatre has no
end. It lives in our hearts
and as a cultural
phenomenon helps us to look
in and out more
and more windows of
our world
